The Amazing Race! The race will be held on Saturday, April 6th. Registration will begin at 9:15am and the race will be from 10am-1pm (probably more like 12:30). Teams of 4 will race around town to different challenge locations, perform the challenge, and upon completing it you will receive a clue to the next location. Following the race, we will serve lunch and there will be an awards ceremony! All money raised will go directly to our Second Mile Fund. Money is this fund directly benefits Ellis County residents in assistance with rent payments, utility bills, and water bills. Many residents in our community are in threat of eviction or disconnection of utility services every month. First Call for Help strives to reduce the impact of poverty by coordinating essential resources for low-income residents.
*VOLUNTEERS will be stationed in pairs of two at each challenge location. They will help teams complete challenges and ensure they are completing them correctly. They will also give teams their clue to the next location. Volunteers will also receive a t-shirt to wear the day of the event and be served lunch.
