Downtown Hays Development Corp

Downtown Hay Development Corporation (DHDC) is a 501c3 created in 2001. We strive to be the binding force and catalyst for organizations impacting Historic Downtown Hays. DHDC represents Downtown Hays through open communication and strategic planning which enhances and secures the quality of life in the community. Our organization fosters awareness by recognizing, communicating and celebrating the accomplishments of Downtown Hays. The mission of DHDC is to foster awareness and promote Downtown Hays as a vibrant center of commerce, recreation, arts, government and history that serves the people of Hays, the surrounding region and visitors from around the world. DHDC will work to prevent the deterioration and enhance the viability of the community’s cultural centers, historical landmarks and public infrastructure important to the community’s economic and cultural well-being.

From craft beer festivals to Christmas parades DHDC hosts a variety of events to bring awareness and foot traffic to Downtown Hays. We work with building owners to bring in new businesses. We work closely with existing businesses to help with development and retainment. We market downtown as the amazing attraction that it is.
