RealityU is an interactive exercise that helps youth understand some of the “realities” involved in preparing for an employable future. At RealityU, students select an occupation based on their plans after high school and current GPA. They are then given an amount of money equivalent to the average monthly salary at 26 years. Students then proceed to the booths where they purchase housing, transportation, communication services, childcare, food, and utilities.
We are in need of volunteers to help man these 12 booths. This event will occur on Monday, November 7th from 7:30am to 3:05pm. Lunch will be provided to those who are working during the lunch hour shift. Sign up for one shift or all if you are available!
Session 1: 7:55 - 9:21
Session 2: 9:26 - 10:52
